Cannan Wescott and Kase Key took the National Rope Horse Rewards #13.5 Championship, finishing four head in 28.05 seconds to pocket $43,200.
Wescott, of De Leon, Texas, headed on Poker Playin Bailey, a 2013 gelding by Poker Playin Ike out of Wily Bertha (Wilywood), bred by Anita McKesson. Key, of Stephenville, Texas, heeled on Mc Rey N Nick, a 2016 mare by Reynshine out of AC Cindy Checkers (Im Countin Checks), bred by Betty Siemer and Anita Cox and owned by Josey Key.
After the win, Wescott and Key joined DruStew and Ferron Lucero on the EQN Sports Desk, driven by Holiday Auto Group, to talk about their championship run and the horses that carried them to the win.
